Dancing Light Earrings (Diamond Waves)
Long and lightweight, these earrings by Jessica R. Metcalfe (Turtle Mountain Chippewa) make a beautiful statement.
These lovely earrings feature Pāua shells and gold findings. Pāua is one of our favorite shells because of its intense variation of color. The brilliant iridescent patterns catch glints of light when viewed from different angles, creating a dance of intense ocean colors. Pāua is the Māori name given to three New Zealand species of large edible sea snails, known in the US as abalone.
Here, in North Dakota, our expansive flat snow-covered landscapes echo the glimmer of reflective waterscapes and, even though we might be geographically far apart, these similarities connect us in beautifully unexpected ways.
They hang 3.5" long. This item ships from the US.
NOTE: Please store your new earrings in the box provided to protect the shells.
