Russian Blue Trade Bead Bangles

These adjustable bangle bracelets feature rare jumbo handmade antique glass beads on silver bangles. Designed and made by Beyond Buckskin owner Jessica R. Metcalfe (Turtle Mountain Chippewa).

These beads were traded from Europe to Africa and the Americas. After more than a hundred years, and thousands of miles, they are now remixed into modern bracelets meant to last a lifetime and longer. The rich blue hue is stunning and glows in the light. Because of their age (and travel!) slight variations in shape exist, and some have minor chips, all which add to their rich heritage and beauty. We are obsessed with these Russian Blues!
