Pueblo Kilt Design Wallet
This wallet was designed by Michael Adams (Hopi/Tewa) and features a geometric Pueblo design on a black leather.
This bi-fold wallet is made of genuine leather that has been engraved. Ultra-soft, it has two money pockets and a flip ID holder and 8 card pockets. The design is representative of a man's Pueblo kilt design signifying rain clouds, rain, life, and the universe. The design is engraved into the leather so it will not rub off. Natural oils from handling over time enhance the wallet. This item ships from the US.
Born on the Hopi reservation and surrounded by culture and art, Adams was inspired to create his own style with jewelry. He looks to his parents for inspiration; his mother is a Hopi/Tewa potter and his father is a Katsina doll carver. Each earring is created using gourd or basswood. He hand-cuts, shapes, and then paints each earring using acrylics. A final coating of protective gloss seals the design and gives the earring a shine. He explained, "I love to incorporate color and Hopi symbolism into my designs all referencing nature as it occurs naturally."
