Ice Waters Necklace
For this necklace, we honor the gifts of the waters.
Here, up north, winter is in full swing - which means snow, gusty winds, bitter cold temps, and icy frozen lakes. During these dire times, the waters were/are an important food source; as most animals go into hibernation, fish swim just below the iced surface. Ice fishing continues to be an important time when family members and close friends come together in small groups, in an intimate enclosure, sitting for hours, reaffirming and strengthening friendships and relationships.
This exquisite necklace designed by Jessica R. Metcalfe (Turtle Mountain Chippewa) pays homage to those moments, swirling with a variety of treasures, like turquoise, jade, amethyst, coral, freshwater pearls, gold, serpentine, moonstone, rhodonite, and more.
The deerskin lace is adjustable to wear a variety of ways with up to 32" of length. We suggest finding your preferred length, then use a double-knot to secure the necklace in place. Each necklace is slightly different. This item ships from the US.
