Sealed in Ice Dentalium Shell Earrings

$40.00

These earrings were made by Ojibwe artist Tashina Lee Emery and feature natural dentalium shells encased in acrylic.

The shells are infused in the clear glue like ice, stuck in time, representing the preservation of cultural and identity over time and concealing the sharp edges of difficult memories. Sterling silver hooks. Price of domestic shipping included. This item ships from the US.
  • 1.25" - 1.5" long
  • Dentalium shells and acrylic

  • Tashina Lee Emery is a member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community of the historic Lake Superior Band of Chippewa Indians. Her work is enchanting and modern, and a celebration of the beauty of the natural world.
